Triad's Tribute

At the Dawn of the First Age, the Ancients were tasked with stewardship over Creation. Carrying out their will across the Realms were the Prometh, and among them, the Mighty Lightsworn. Together, they ensured peace and order across all of Creation, protecting the still young mortal races.

At the end of the First Age, The Cataclysm brought untold destruction and sorrow. The Fallen Ancients betrayed their brethren, and the foundations of the Mortal Realm were torn asunder. Many Prometh and mortals alike perished, yet the Lightsworn fought on against darkness and chaos.

After the Cataclysm, the ranks of the Lightsworn were diminished; many disillusioned over protecting the fractured realms. Yet out of tragedy arose three who were determined to carry on the Lightsworn’s valiant legacy. Trained by Archon Magnus, they became known as the Triad.

The Triad; The Sword, The Heart, & The Gatekeeper, fought for valor and justice past the Barrier where the Ancients no longer could reach. Sealing away the WorldBreaker, Halting the Crimson Harvest; these feats and more earned them the mantle of Archon; the greatest of Prometh. This monument stands as a reminder to the selfless heroism of the Triad, and to the brave souls who lost their lives during the Crimson Harvest to staunch the flow of evil. Let it serve as a challenge to those that come after, to never let fear prevail, even at the very gates of hell.
The Triad's Tribute is a large marble structure that stands in Kingdom of Velant's Flowing Marshes as a monument to the deeds of the Triad; three Lightsworn who repelled the invading Infernals during The Crimson Harvest in the Second Age. It was presumably built by the mortals living in the area at the time as a show of thanks and remembrance.
The structure serves a secondary purpose, as it is built atop the site of a hell gate; a portal the Infernals used to travel to the Mortal Realm from their native plane of Ashfell. The radiant structure is meant to keep the gate inactive, and keep whatever lingering energies that dwell within dormant.
