Chris is a high school student who aspires to be a comic book artist was struck by lightning and gained unreal abilities of incredible strength, speed, reflexes, energy blasts, and to conjure stone gauntlets used for both defense and offense. His path to heroism was set in stone after rescuing a classmate who was held hostage by their teacher who worked for a criminal underground. Now he fights as the red costumed vigilante known as THE IMMORTAL Z-MAN!

Chris, donning his Z-man persona, pops in to the CJM universe in the middle of a riot in the city of Rollingsberg. Confused about his whereabouts, he fights off criminals and monsters searching for answers. After a while he meets Ben, a young handyman, J, a mage, and Mike, a herald of a cosmic deity, and joins them on many adventures throughout the CJM universe.
