The Age of Man

The Rise of the Godlings

With the world now somewhat resembling the world as we know it today, and the chaotic influences of the Prime-Gods no longer a concern for the young world the new world could finally rebuild.   The Elder-Gods not as powerful as the Prime-Gods don't have the same word-shaking power, but as they've lived through the devastation of the Planar Conflict and being beings of the world, rather than otherworldly beings are far more involved with the lives of those that choose to worship them.

The Age of the Winged Tyrants:

Following the devastation of the Planar Conflict civilizations reformed, but slowly, forming only a semblance of it. This resulted in a world consisting out of many nomadic civilizations, as well as many small proclaimed kingdoms. During this a single race of powerful winged beings was quick to raise to power, creating the largest domain the world had ever known, ruled by them. The region is known as The Veglye Province is the sole remnant of this massive empire. These Dragons with their massive power and cunning managed to avoid the scrutiny of the fledgling Elder-Gods and only when they'd gained enough in both power and numbers did they start their onslaught, claiming large areas of the map as their own from nations hardly powerful enough to defend themselves from their neighbors. This large scale incursion led by a pair of Dragon-like beings, The Chromatic Tiamat and Metallic Bahamut was over about as quickly as it had started, during this time, other factions seeing the success of the Dragons formed empires of their own, using this emerging thread as an incentive to unite, this biggests of these empires still endures to this day as the  Vashona Empire.   This initially did go unnoticed by the Elder gods, who still preoccupied by many of their own problems didn't consider this rising threat worth their attention. After they finally figured these dragons would be something they should deal with it alread to late, and the Dragons had established themselves as a force to rival the gods. What followed was a steadily expanding Draconic empire, who didn't face any real opposition for most of it's existence.   These Dagons, not content to accept other races as their servants created two two races to be their first in command and most loyal commanders. These where the Dragonborn and the Kobolds.   These dragons remained in power until, steered by their personal interests, no longer suppressed by a united desire to claim a land of their own, two distinct sides formed, the Chromatics let by Tiamat and the Metallics led by Bahamut. Either side quite happy to bask in gifts and praise but with a wholly different approach to how they treated their underlings. The Metallics being far more kind and good where far more willing to listen to their underlings, with the Chromatics being more Evil alligned and more tyrannical.   These differences eventually led to an all out civil war, which weakened both sides enough for other factions to join the fray, resulting in the once oppressed people to be free once again. And with the once proud dragonic domains being broken down, one dragon at the time, the Mettalics made an alliance with the attacking factions, and with both the Mettalics and the others against them, the Tiamat and many of its loyal beings fled to another plane of existance, the Chromatics now reduced to a minor faction suffered under it's hostile neighbors and eventually Bahamut also fled to a different plane of existence. This left only a handful of dragons on the material plane, which where either hunted down or fled to the corners of the earth, and the great Tyrants of yore where reduced to a mark in history.

Forming a civilization:

The remnants of Draconic empire coalesced into a myriad of smaller nations, many of which where absorbed in to the Vashona Empire. Or formed their own, and many of the nations at the hearth of the world are descendant of these. earlier nations. One of these nations adhered more to the original draconic dogma, drawing in the many dragonborn who where very familiar with the inner-workings of efficient the draconic domain "The Prismatic Realm" became one of the first recognized kingdoms. The neighboring nations took inspiration from this successful nation and so after decades, the many nations we know today formed.

Manifestations of faith:

With many more nations, people and individuals, new beings formed, these embody the various aspects desired by people, and when enough people believed/desired a being representing this aspect came to be, these are known as the godlings:
