Personal history

Originally from a clan of druids in the Weathercote woods near the graypeak mountains Aay lived a fairly sheltered life until a sudden incursion by a band of stone giants. His world view shaken, he abandoned the clan and set out on his own. He honed his shape shifting skills over the next few years and ended up making money with the platinum prerogative. 5 more years with the company and He had met River, Xior and lastly Seteth, and those 4 would go on to form their own company.
For the first time he has something to call his own with the rest of the windblown founders. As such Aay is now the most active on missions to recruit new members and for active combat missions. After Winifred and The Better Way joined, he turned his sights north with Silja, Iligith, Iefyr, and the rest of the caravan towards the orc campaigns into dwarven and elven territory. Using the general utility from the caravan and high damage output from the members as an opportunity to gain reputation around the north as a company to be respected and relied upon

Aay grew up with little education outside of his druidic training but when he left and started traveling with River, Xior, and Seteth he found he had a talent for grasping the wider political landscape. Mental Trauma

Lost his entire family to the stone giant attack that caused him to flee. That combined with more than a few close calls in combat have him waking up at night in a cold sweat. Day to day he's fairly well adjusted but it still shows.

Intellectual Characteristics

Aays' fairly intelligent and wise beyond his years but ambitions and tends to draw him towards bad decisions. This is compounded when he gets caught up in past losses and the mental trauma above. He tends to over compensate for past failures by pushing forward even more recklessly now that he has gotten stronger, and struggles to remember not everyone is as tough as he is.

His past with the stone giants, and his many years of mercenary combat have given him the perspective that some people just get caught in the crossfire. History

Met in the Platinum Prerogative the two work extremely well together in combat with Aay acting as the tank and distraction and Xior bringing the damage. Outside of combat they Clash pretty harshly. There's a lot of respect there, but the two are opposites in about every way. Aay is ambitious, brash, and opulent while Xior is much more subdued, focused and utilitarian.
Under the guidance of River they started the windblown and now sit as co-founders along with Seteth and Avel. While they often devolve to petty snipes and shouting, and nearly always disagree on the direction they should invest the companies resources, the pair are able to pull it together when things get dire.

Seteth and Aay have a good working relationship and share a passion for goodberry wine. Seteth secretly things Aay is hillarious but doesn't show it often. Both out of respect for how much he grates on Xior's nerves, and because she thinks his ego is already big enough without her encouragement. Aay finds her lack of response encouragement enough and normally has some plan to try to get her to crack a smile in each encounter they have.

Relationship Reasoning

Started with the windblown, they have fun playing around. Aay is strong enough to take the physical damage from Avel when she goes into a rage so the two tend to train together by 'play' fighting. There are never any hard feelings and hardly ever any serious injuries due to his wild shap transformations so the two have a solid relationship on a day to day basis. Together with River they sneak out and go party and cause in a few well picked cities.

They would race together in their tribe. There was a competition to navigate courses in various wild shape forms. Aay was a little older but draft was better. Aay had a talent for combat while draft was in it ofr the sport. When the village was attacked aay took her under his wing and honed her talent for speed to explore.

Ussu and Aay vibed immediately. They're both bold, honest and outgoing with Ussu ended up on Aay's team after just a few missions with the windblown. They have several connections through the organization but their bond specifically is training. Every morning they're both at the peak they lead a run through the trails along the side of the star mountains surrounding the peak. This has been going on near daily for several years now and they've gotten to know basically everything about each other.

Aay and Ennalan hit it off early in their mercenary carrers, meeting through the prerogative. They would pair with each other regularly to scout and setup ambushes.
