The pair met while when the Windblown were hired to eliminate a group of vampires tormenting the countryside south of Baldur's gate. River and Xior tracked down, what turned out to be the wrong pair of vampires and after an initial scuffle the groups realized their mistakes and decided to team up to deal with the actual contract targets. River, Xior, Tazbor and Navia cleared out the group and decided to continue to work together, the latter two joining the newly formed windblown as Executioner and Artifex respectively. After a year or so Navia and River started dating and were married the following year. Another year and the pair had two children. This had some complications as a past wound has rendered River infertile and Navia is undead, but with the assistance of Hala and Gimblekanks and a bit of magic Nivian and then her sister Venin.
History
Despite having fairly different interests the pair complement each other well. River's bull headed nature sets up seteth's dryer, more subtle snipes, especially when they're antagonizing the same target.

These two worked together since their time in the Platinum Prerogative. Would go on to found the windblown.

River tends to get exhausted with Aays approach to running the windblown, but these two along with Avel would often leave the peak and party hard together to bond and blow off steam.

River found Xior wandering the high forest, bloody and bruised after taking out a Zhentarim cell. She recognized his potential, and took pity on how much of a wreck he was by bringing him into the Platinum Prerogative. The two have worked together largely without incident. Though Xior's almost two century hunt of the Zhentarim has become exhausting for River, though she understands why he feels the need to pursue it.

These two have always struggled and butt heads. River doesn't approve of her methods or how easily she kills and Venin thinks her mother is too slow to action. She doesn't hold anything against her mom for her physical disability but also doesn't realize like her combat training was supposed to just be a way to get her comfortable moving in the suit. She doesn't fully understand her mothers hesitation and this does bring a lot of conflict to their relationship.
History
These two have a strong relationship. Nivian fights like river and takes after her mom with her temperament. She did not inherit her charisma however, so what River would have said to manipulate opponents into making themselves look bad or guilty before starting a fight, Nivian blurts out obscenities and ends up being beaten up in an alley.
Relationship Reasoning
Started with the windblown, they have the most well defined relationship. After joining the team initially Avel was extremely wild, being largely left to her own devices by her creators. Seteth recognized her intelligence and River began working with her on training drills and reenforcing positive behaviors. It took a while but Avel is a fast learner and it helped a lot that River is absolutely down to cause some chaos. The two ended up working extremely well together. They rarely go on missions together anymore but they still make time to go cause a little trouble in a rotating number of cities with Aay.
History
While neither of them leave the peak very often for assignments anymore, back at the start Tazbor was the one charged with executing the larger vison for the company. Onboarding and training new recruits, managing guards and generally keeping things on track while the rest of the members went on assignments. After years of this River and Tazbor have an unspoken understanding on many things and she knows he can be trusted with handling whatever needs to happen.

The pair met during their time with The Silver Hammer. Tome was just a kid being trained and raised among mercenaries and river was one of the only members that had any fucking tact. They became friends and over the next several years they would work together and develop a kind of sibling / cousin bond with River looking out for Tome and Tome looking up to River. When the windblown went on to be founded tome was one of the first on the list to be recruited.
