Seteth is a straight up frosted glass cannon. High damage, but only low health and decent AC means she needs to rely on clever positioning and powerful arcane wards to get by. That being said, access to high level spells and multiple powerful magical items means she bring the heat. As it were.

Personal history

Captured by The Iron Hand slaving company around 100 years old, Seteth was one of the last elves to be born in the feywild before the floating court made its migration to the Moonshae Isles. With the upheaval and conflict on the isle of Sarifal, slavers found it simple to snatch up fey and humans during the aftermath of battles. Seteth got caught like this and for almost 5 years was imprisoned forced to work and perform in camps.
During the 5th year, a raid was executed against this particular camp between Waterdeep and Amn, which is where she met Xior, River, and Aay who would go on to become the windblown. She was one of many slaves they freed but she was one of the only ones to take up arms immediately after having her inhibitor shackles broken. She joined the fight with her sorcery and later was offered a place amongst the mercenary crew, the Platinum Prerogative.
After several years those three, Seteth and Avel, formed the windblown and collected new members taking contracts across the north. Eventually the company grew and Seteth became the leader of the windblown team operating around the sea of fallen stars. This work and the composition of her team has placed her as the defacto spymaster of the company. All secrets run through her. She's set up shop in Brynshander in Icewind Dale, from where she coordinates missions and contracts quietly under the guise of a simple magic shop, which connects to The Weeping Peak but rarely finds time to leave the Peak these days.

Seteth trained for years under the floating court. She studied as a clerk in the court, managing field operations and reports on the noble families of the land they had arrived in. During the invasion of Gwynneth, Seteth participated in an administrative capacity in many of the battles against both the aggressive Ffolk and other more malicious fey. After she was captured her exposure to the harsh cold and her winter nature manifested her powers. She learned to sheild herself and others from the cold and the link to ice has persisted through her abilities.

Seteth has been working with various mercenary companies over the last decade, and is one of the original founders of the Windblown.

Mental Trauma

Despite being freed Seteth still feels a part of herself was left behind in the labor camp. She struggles with nightmares and a survivors guilt that is constantly seething under the surface. Being an eladrin gave her a better acclimation to the frigid climate than a lot of the other prisoners, and she ended up out lasting most of them. She throws herself into her work as a distraction. She hides it but she still has the magical brand placed on her by the iron hand.

Intellectual Characteristics

Seteth is extremely intelligent, has an excellent memory and a talent for managing multiple things at once. She tends to dwell on failures and sink into bouts of depression, though not even she is sure if this is her winter aspect or her past trauma. During these episodes she throws herself tirelessly into her work.

Morality & Philosophy

She works tirelessly to route out slavery with the windblown's network of spies and more subtle operatives by identifying, blackmailing, and assassinating officials keeping the policies in action. There are lines she won't cross, but detonating the lives of entire noble lineages is definitely not one of them.

Seteth and Aay have a good working relationship and share a passion for goodberry wine. Seteth secretly things Aay is hillarious but doesn't show it often. Both out of respect for how much he grates on Xior's nerves, and because she thinks his ego is already big enough without her encouragement. Aay finds her lack of response encouragement enough and normally has some plan to try to get her to crack a smile in each encounter they have.

Relationship Reasoning

Started with the windblown, this is the most symbiotic relationship between Avel and another founder. While her enhanced strength and durability are Avel's most immediately apparent traits, Seteth was the first to recognize her intelligence. At the pair would pick up open problems posted to university forums from students and academics with any sort of reward associated with it and solve them as a side hustle for the company during the slower months.
This would continue on into the years of the windblown expansions. Seteth began operating as the spymaster and mission coordinator and while she is capabable she could get stretched thin. Avel could be trusted to handle all sorts of work from cryptography to spell decoding to mission logistics. The two have an extremely solid working relationship and genuinely enjoy eachothers company.

Seteth was the first real contact Asha had with the windblown and both were immediately impressed. After Zacharius brought Asha onto the team the two women began working together and seteth authorized extremely large sums of money to hone Asha's already considerable talent.

Zessa was recruited by Seteth almost immediately upon joining the company. Her skill with languages, magic and general manipulation combined with her intelligence made her an invaluable asset to Seteth's intelligence gathering team. The relationship is mostly functional. History

Seteth had been enslaved and Ennalan was part of the group that liberated her encampment. She had just been rescued from severe abuse and he was still fairly young but they were attracted to each other. They started dating but his inexperience and her recent trauma resulted in a lot of misunderstandings at first. The proximity of their work meant they stuck with it and the wisdom of some older members kept things fairly healthy. This went for several years but it did eventually end. Not on bad terms but when the Platinum Prerogative dissolved and the rest of the windblown founders decided to group, the pair decided it was time to end things and go their seperate ways.
