Ceres

The vast and incredibly fertile Antares and Scorpii River basins were the sites of many flourishing civilisations, in pre and post-Carkade eras.   Prior to the helegu invasions, the Rashemi dominated kingdoms of Harap, Juna, Mohen, Caro and Hakra occupied this area and large portions of land immediately alongside and amid the Jydengiss, Slave Cities of . The devastation of the invasions led to large populations emigrating southwards and eastwards.   An area constantly contested and fought over due to it's richness in minerals and highly arable land, the area known as Ceres houses a number of loosely affiliated settlements and communities that typically number between 30,000 to 60,000 inhabitants. Ethincally the humans of this area are a mixture of Illuskans, Rashemi, Tali and Chondathans, many of whom were forcibly relocated by the Helegu to the area.   The breaksown of the Khaganate saw many settlements removing themselves from central Helegu control, although the re-emergence of a powerful Blue Host have seen most settlements resubmit to the Helegu.   Gnomes and Elves are the largest non-human populations, nor is unknown for Orcs or Giants to make their living raiding the more vulnerable settlements. Gnolls were once a persitent problem, but the great exodus event that saw all gnolls bands start a southern migration to the Jin Jungle has seen this threat decrease significantly.
