The Weave

The Weave was assumedly created by The Primes in the Astra Sea to protect the Material Plane. It’s a type of magical ward constructed around the Material Plane to allow casters to draw from the Elemental Planes through the Astral Sea, and into the Material Plane to cast magic. Every spell is like sliding a needle through a bedsheets, the more powerful the spell the thicker the needle. If a spell is strong enough it can rip a temporary hole in this protective sheet and cause the plane the caster is drawing from to bleed into the Material Plane. The geography of the Material Plane can be permanently altered by these events.
