Bio

Heir to House Costayne, Armstead was raised in King's Landing due to his father's position as Lord Hand. He is secretly in love with Princess Jaehaera and sees Aegar as a brother and his main rival for her attention. His father told him the union will never be for she is above his standing and the Princess would marry not for love, but for duty. Armstead set out to prove himself and entered a tourney to show his worth. Armstead, only 15 at the time, didn't last long, being unhorsed in his first tilt. When the war with Dorne broke out, Armstead was put in command of the armies which the commanders didn't like at first. However, Armstead has proven to be a true tactician. He sacked Dayne, held off Lord Uller, and stopped the march of Davos before he could sack House Costayne. His leadership has endeared him to his men and now even those who at first questioned his abilities would follow him into a dragon's lair if he commanded it. He has the loyalty and respect of his men that not even all the gold in Casterly Rock could buy. He has one child with his now deceased wife of House Caswell.
