Celestial

Celestials were a race of cosmic beings that exist to moderate the universe. Each Celestial had its own designated role, with its own set of powers and abilities to complement their role. Celestials were composed of cosmic energy which in turn imbued them with magical abilities, which they used to carry out their tasks. Their home realm, the Celestial Plane, was powered by the Cosmic Realm (which also powered the rest of the universe both of which are accessible to them. It is from these realms that they derived their power and thrive.
The realms were wiped out during the Extinction, along with most of the Celestials. Whilst their spirits and energy live on in The Glow, those Celestials may never appear in the material plane again. It is unknown exactly which Celestials survived, if any.

Historical Figures

The exact amount and names of all Celestials is somewhat a mystery, but there are numerous who have revealed themselves to mortals, sometimes to trick them, ally with them, or be worshipped by them. There are six major Celestials who represent the main aspects of their creation, whilst other minor celestials represent more niche domains. There are also four Celestial Wards, the only Celestials to be birthed by the joining of two Celestials, who later became Descendants.
