House Robertine, also known as the "House of the Bull," "House of the Hero," and "House of the Strong," is one of the three great houses of Outremer. Renowned as the second of the great houses to ascend and the most powerful in sheer strength, House Robertine was founded by the legendary Herculean hero Robert the Strong, the savior of Outremer during the Great Demon Invasion. Known across lands for its unmatched might, the Bull House has garnered a reputation as an unparalleled force.
Robert the Strong, born with godly gifts, embodied strength akin to a demigod, the health of the divine, and the intelligence of a genius—a veritable godly creation. Robert first earned his title at just six years old when he famously saved his mother by ripping a horse in half with his bare hands. This incredible feat set the tone for his lineage, as each member of House Robertine is born with a portion of his strength, making even the youngest members remarkably strong. Generations later, the house continues to uphold its reputation for strength, with infants of House Robertine outmatching grown adults and some members, appearing once every few generations, achieving strength close to that of Robert himself. After Robert’s passing, the throne of Outremer became contested, and a voting system was established wherein only members of House Robertine and House de Normandie were eligible for election by the High Lords of Outremer. For centuries, these two houses shared rulership, alternating in power as determined by the will of the High Lords.
Currently, House Robertine is led by the young Odo Robertine, a 10-year-old and the only son of the late Grandmaster Eudes Robertine. Though House Robertine is viewed as the weakest of the three great houses due to its child head, it remains a force not to be underestimated. Many influential members of House Robertine hold powerful positions within Outremer, including several saint lords. House Robertine’s close alliance with House de Normandie, the current ruling house of Outremer, further strengthens its standing. Grandmaster Langris de Normandie, former mentee of Grandmaster Eudes, now provides guidance and support to young Odo, solidifying the bond between their houses and underscoring the unity of these two historic houses in the current age.
