Isila

The nation is ruled by the Immortal Luvic and his council. Founded by the Christobal Promises, the nation seeks reparations and the lands they were promised for their elven population. They are a highly magical nation, even if most of the populace are half-elves, there are still many powerful elven mages working closely with them. They have an uneasy peace treaty with Mathras as they were at war for many decades over the Promises.

Structure

The country is ruled by Luvic for as long as he desires or is forced to abdicate. While he is away, his council, made up of powerful wizards, takes control over the political issues of the country. Most cities are independent, enacting their own laws superseded by decrees of Luvic.

Culture

People of Isila are closely elven in their culture, even if most of them aren't full blood elves.

History

The lands controlled by Isila were once elven lands. A major place of their pilgrimage during the Third Age, Kingdoms. They were even bigger, as there existed a peninsula there. This was the last stop on their long journey, so it was crucial for them to guard this place. As part of the ancient kingdom of Uluthunar, the elves would have a history of deceit and treachery, dating back to Ascal Gold Hearted, who would become a Lich and the gods intervened in his bloodshed, locking him in the Riverlands. The nation would fall back and live mostly behind the Fools' Gold Mountains, surviving many attempts at their life. The nation would finally fall during the Fourth Age, The Calamity. Living under the Demon King rule, they saw an uptick in their social standing but the freedoms they had were taken from them, so over time, they would gladly betray him with Immortal Luvic at their side. When the empire fell, the elves were free once more but at what cost. Their land destroyed and barely any food would grow in the Post-Calamity Era of the Fifth Age, Current Age. Luvic with powerful high wizards did whatever he could, empowering the lands that survived the shattering and saving thousands of elves from starvation. After the green returned, the Immortal sought the ancient lands of the elves returned to them and tried to negotiate with Mathras for them. This was a critical failure that started an over century-long conflict. Luvic only wanted the lands back but the humans never returned them, thus blood was spilled and the nation of Isila was founded, trying to safeguard the elven population, which mostly became half-elven due to many elves leaving for Amaldarantar. After decades of war, they were able to have some of their promised territory and a ceasefire but at the same time, a new conflict was started with the new kingdom of Olvoe. Thankfully it ended before the Isila was destroyed as The Second Divergence happened and the great ships retreated. Now, a peace was signed and the nation might sleep well. Or can it?

Demography and Population

The majority of the population are Half-elves. There are still many Elves here but most keep to themselves.

Territories

Almost all of the territory is magically changed, due to powerful spells cast during the Post-Calamity Era of the Fifth Age, Current Age. The forests, plains, hills, coasts, everywhere you can feel the magic still flowing. This allows the farmers to toil the lands faster and harvests come sooner, allowing many to live a life of elven leisure.

Religion

Most of the populace worship the Elder Pantheon. After the disapparence of the Wise One, most mage rulers started worshipping Loyal Student.
