Riverlands
As the name suggests, this land is known for the number of rivers it has and it actually had more in the previous ages. During the First Age, The Titan War, if you believe the legends, the Riverlands were the site of the battle between the God-Killer and Translucent Traveler, where the latter show an arrow to kill the Titan, instead killing in one shot The Diplomat. Many believe that the rivers that come out of the mountains are his blood, still flowing to this day. Others believe that Great Arrow Mountains are more a monument made by the First Gods to remember that deadly war. During the Second Age, Godswar, these lands didn't become more peaceful, as a Illthid Empire fought against the Dwarves and Elves, until the end of the Godswar shattered their lands. In the Third Age, Kingdoms, the Riverlands saw an opportunity to rise from the flames of constant conflict. The races of dwarves, humans and elves were united and worked together. The elves saw the Riverlands as an ideal stop for their travel to the Elven Lands. The dwarves sought to expand their Dawi Way, as these lands were the most southern part of the Old World granting them access to a lot of trade with other continents. The humans continued their expansion and were mostly left alone, even not becoming a client state of the Divine Empire but working together with the Vendel League. When the Fourth Age, The Calamity struck, these lands were ravaged by the Icons and were on the brink of annihilation, until a human, called the Demon King appeared and under his iron fist, united the races to fight off the Icons. His kingdom, the Empire of the Riverlands, rose in powers for couple of centuries, until Vecna tried to become the Overgod. This was the moment that the united races struck against their tyrant, which was a mistake. This action shook the land and earthquakes killed many people, a whole peninsula fell into the ocean. When the Fifth Age, Current Age came, the races weren't united like before. Conflicts were constant and bloodshed was always a matter of time. The dwarves cared only about their lost halls, allowing only small trade to pass. Elves went back to their grand forest, leaving the half-elves to rule a kingdom of magic that despised humans beyond the mountains. The human empire splintered and civil war is coming to their doorstep. Their northern neighbors almost destroyed themselves with magic, in turn creating an authority against all arcane magic. The Riverlands are at the brink on another all-out war.
