Mission Briefing
"We've gotten another call from the folks down at Shelmont Stakes, that flail snail racetrack down in Solem. They've come to us a few times before to get rid of some annoying little creatures, and it seems their vermin problem is back again, despite our best efforts. Seems like the usual stuff: just go there, bust a few gremlins, find whatever gold and junk they stole from the tourists--you know the drill. And do not anger the snails if you don't want to get your ass handed to you by an oversized cephalopod. Flail snail goop doesn't come out of clothes easy since that shit crystallizes real damn quick, and we will not be replacing your designer jacket just because you got some anti-magic goop all over it, do I make myself clear? Good. Now get to it."

Event Recounting
The party arrived at the Shelmont Stakes racetrack to find that the patrons have been having their gold jewelry stolen for the past two weeks, and Joel, the admin, was up to his waist in calls from angry patrons demanding he find their belongings. After some investigation, the party managed to discover the culprits responsible for the thefts were a band of xvarts, living in the woods nearby. Upon subduing the xvarts, the party was alerted to an attempted robbery at the snail stables, where a small band of cultists were attempting (unsuccessfully) to subdue and capture Snecretariat, one of the establishment's finest and fastest. After subduing the cultists, the team was rewarded heftily by Joel, and had their pick of items from the gift shop, in addition to bonus payment.
Notable Continuities
- Dorothy's Wife was abducted by the xvarts when they were attempting to steal her ring and she put up some amount of resistance. She was rescued by the party when the xvarts were subdued and promptly left the premises.
- The xvart leader was captured in one instance and used as ransom to convince the others to leave.
- Blinky and Sage attempted to perform a "miracle" of sorts that didn't pan out the way they expected.
- Dee spoke to Snecretariat and gave them some jelly.
