Dyer

This island community is well-known on the mainland for their traditional cloth. It is a woollen broadcloth, akin to tweed, and it has been crafted in the same exact way for centuries.   Your particular trade is the process of dyeing the wool in the many beautiful colours that reflect this natural landscape.   Dyers gather plants, mosses, lichens, and other natural materials to dye the raw wool as soon as it's sheared - hence the expression 'dyed in the wool'.   Some dyers specialise in healing, preparing tonics and making poultices.   Others specialise in beauty preparations and lotions.   One or two make up potions of the more wishful kind, and they tend to be entrusted with people's secret desires.
