Monrith

Monrith is a city on the east coast of Trass, on the bay where the river Rith flows into the Trass Sea. It received its city charter in 943 AF in acknowledgement of its increasing importance of a centre for commerce and trade. Closely allied with Blyperrin it became a stronghold of the Low Armies in the age of the Succession Empires.

History

Monrith is best known for the major role it played as the second city of the Low Armies during the wars of the Succession Empires.
During the Trade Wars the city was an important center of operations for the Merchants Guilds, in their commercial struggles against the Allport League.
At the close of the Role Disputes in 2940 AF, Monrith became involved in very brief war with Kingcardine, a conflict that was swiftly ended by forces from Helsporan an action which marked the beginning of the Pax Helsporan.
