Cloud Dragon

Cloud dragons are a species of dragon, and one of the seventeen primary dragon types.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Cloud dragons have the same basic anatomy as any dragon. Instead of horns, they have feelers/antennae sprouting from their foreheads, similar to water dragons. Cloud dragons like to shroud their bodies in clouds, giving them a "fluffy" appearance, but underneath the clouds, they do have scales and claws, and are mostly colored all-white or sky blue.

Genetics and Reproduction

Cloud dragons reproduce sexually.

Growth Rate & Stages

Dragons mature very quickly at the start of their life, both physically and mentally. As time passes, this growth slows to a normal rate, and stays that way for the rest of their lives. During the first six years or so, dragons will grow at an incredible rate.

Ecology and Habitats

Sky, cloud and weather systems

Dietary Needs and Habits

Cloud dragons only need clouds and/or water vapor for food.

Behaviour

Next to ooze dragons, cloud dragons are the second laziest dragon race, and spend most of their time snoozing, wrapped in fluffy clouds. Since nothing ever comes up to the cloud layer to attack them, cloud dragons don't have a care in the world. They're amiable and enjoy small talk and conversation (until they get drowsy again and fall asleep.) When not sleeping, cloud dragons like to use the clouds to travel and look at the world below them, daydreaming to their heart's content.   Cloud dragons' mood changes depending on the weather. If it is sunny, cloud dragons remain their usual selves. If there are rain clouds, cloud dragons become melancholy. And if it is snowing, cloud dragons get even more sluggish and lazy, and tend to sleep through entire days.   On occasion, ooze dragons and cloud dragons will meet each other, and will pile together to sleep. Usually when this happens, people several towns away complain about the snoring disturbing the peace, and go to investigate.
