Storm Dragon
Storm dragons are a species of dragon, and one of the seventeen main dragon types.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Storm dragons have the same basic anatomy as any dragon. Storm dragons lack spines and their horns lie flat against their head, jutting straight back. Their tail, however, is lined with a row of razor sharp blades, and it ends in a scythe-like protrusion.
Genetics and Reproduction
Dragons reproduce sexually, and give birth via eggs. However, dragon eggs are extremely durable, to the point of being invincible.
Growth Rate & Stages
Dragons mature very quickly at the start of their life, both physically and mentally. As time passes, this growth slows to a normal rate, and stays that way for the rest of their lives. During the first six years or so, dragons will grow at an incredible rate.
Ecology and Habitats
Sky, the cloud layer, and weather systems
Dietary Needs and Habits
Storm dragons, like electric dragons, feed from electricity and lightning.
Biological Cycle
Storm dragons are more active in the summer, when storms are at their most numerous.
Behaviour
Like electric dragons, storm dragons never stay in one place for long, and are always excited for the next adventure or task at hand. They are the fastest breed of dragon, and this makes maintaining a friendship with them hard. However, given enough time, and with enough patience, a bond with a storm dragon can be established. Storm dragons get along well with fire and water dragons.
Unlike cloud dragons, who often get melancholy and sometimes irritable when a storm is going on, storm dragons are in their best mood when the winds are howling, lightning is ripping through the skies, and torrents of rain are flooding the world below. When it's sunny and calm, storm dragons suffer from extreme boredom and will usually try to mitigate it by annoying others.
