Stardust Dragon
Stardust dragons are a species of dragon, and one of the seventeen main dragon types.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Stardust dragons have the same basic anatomy as any dragon. Their horns are parallel to their heads and go straight back. Stardust dragons have no spines. Their tail ends in a five-pointed star shape which can be used as a blade.
Genetics and Reproduction
Dragons reproduce sexually, and give birth via eggs. However, dragon eggs are extremely durable, to the point of being invincible.
Growth Rate & Stages
Dragons mature very quickly at the start of their life, both physically and mentally. As time passes, this growth slows to a normal rate, and stays that way for the rest of their lives. During the first six years or so, dragons will grow at an incredible rate.
Ecology and Habitats
Stardust dragons can live almost anywhere, as long as they have access to the open night sky at all times.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Stardust dragons need little more than moonlight for sustenance.
Biological Cycle
Stardust dragons are at their most powerful during a full moon. In contrast, they are extremely weak and vulnerable during a new moon. During a total lunar eclipse, they cannot breathe even a spark of fire, use any of their celestial magic, and can barely move at all. They will need to be protected by other dragons or races at this time, otherwise, predators that would not normally pose a threat could become lethal if not taken seriously.
Behaviour
Stardust dragons are a curious and excitable species of dragon. They're always on the hunt for information or knowledge. This craving gets them into trouble sometimes, and they learn things they shouldn't have, but that almost never slows them down. Outside of their pursuit of knowledge they're very friendly, and enjoy conversation, especially if it is philosophical, astronomical, or astrological in nature. They get along well with plant and fire dragons.
