They would be the first to respond to summoned and magical creatures, and they quickly crush any rabble rousers or civil riots.

Industry & Trade

Zalesněný is a supplier of wood products to the consortium and the world. Few nations match their quality and ouput of finished ready to use lumber. While the lumber industry is the largest portion of their economy, the construcction of aviaskipe (airships) is the real cash cow. Sold at huge magin, aviaskipe are profitable in more ways than one.

Infrastructure

At its heart, Zalesněný is a town built on forestry. The engineering advances of the Gromalion Consortium are used to their fullest to make forestry, timber, and lumber their core competency. To that end there are several steam operated sawmills used in the production of timber and lumber.

Districts

The town of Zalesněný is roughly divided into 4 quarters. The northwestern quadrant tends to attract merchants and visitors interested in the trade of Flowtalloy. The northeastern quadrant has large numbers of lumberjacks, mill workers, carpenters, and woodrights. The southwestern quadrant tends to have the most transient population and though no busier than the others the comings and goings of trade caravans to and from Gromesto and East Archibald only amplifies this perception. Finally, the southeastern quadrant has the fewest citizens and vast areas are utilized in the production of aviaskipe (airships). A central civic district also exists. It is here that the town watch, city guard, and other government regulatory offices are housed. Few citizens of the city other than the watch and guard actually dwell in this district.

Points of interest

Rumors exist about the Furgary designers infusing the souls of magical creatures such as elementals and other outsiders into their hulls. To date, no one has been able to prove this practice.

Architecture

Most of the town is constructed of wood. Only those buildings requiring a high resistance to fire and heat (smiths, forges, and steam plants) are fabricated from stone.
