9/9/213 - Report of Ranaghar Argear

General Summary

[Written report of Ranaghar Argear as dictated to Lyudmila Krupiński]   Bounty Northeast:   Set off towards the mountains.   Ran into some Aurochs, Gunther started grunting at them and got really scared. Claimed undead are in the mountains somewhere.   Kept going and ran into some Cobra Chickens. Helena got bit and turned to stone. Gunther got bit and laid down for the rest of the fight. After the encounter I grabbed an egg. Might try and hatch it. Or worth something. To be determined.   Later that night while we made camp. Saw a feathered humanoid flying in the night sky. Haven’t seen that before.   Broke from camp and heard cackling laughter. Group decided to check it out. Discovered a crumbling temple.   Runes and cave paintings are all over the temple. Depicting primitive humanoids praying and rendering sacrifices to dragons. This must be a holy site to the great ones. They must still be here. I can feel it in my bones.   Snuck up on some harpies torturing a Pegasus. We made quick work of the harpies. Gunther fell in battle. Myth told us Gunther was dead, so we buried him. Turns out either Myth doesn’t know how to check a pulse or Gunther’s lesser god showed him some favor that day. Hard to tell. The group healed the Pegasus. It’s a Celestial being of some sorts. Helena seems desperate to befriend it.   This holy place has three figures (statues) in the center. Depicting Aearee (the avian one), an Ostor (the hairy one), and a Quessir (the squirrely one). These are all three primitive races which no longer exist in the Old World. It is thought that Humans, Dwarves, Orcs, and Halflings evolved from the Ostor thousands of years ago, whereas Elves and Gnomes evolved Similarly from the Quessir. Not sure about the Aearee.   As I go to leave this sacred temple, I noticed out of the corner of my eye, the harpies have 7 shiny bluish-green gems as well as a clear globe made out of glass. Lyudmila eventually identified the gems as Turquoise. I initially asked Petra, but she got mad that I brought her a bunch of rocks. I think they have some worth though. Petra was interested in the globe. She determined that the globe is a Driftglobe. Djinn knows the command words, but I don’t know the translations.   Then we made our way back to camp unmolested.
