Worldseeker

Worldseeker is a well-traveled member of the Sunny Shore Tribe of lizardfolk and the primary advisory to its Queen, Proudscar. Though a lizardfolk, Worldseeker was extremely adept at mimicking emotions similar to other humanoids and often favored the clothes worn by urban nobles over traditional lizardfolk garments.

History

For sometime before 1496, Worldseeker left the Sunny Shore Tribe to explore the world and grow better acquianted with the various humanoids that lived on the Sword Coast. While traveling, Worldseeker became extremely proficient in interacting with non-lizardfolk. Following his travels, Worldseeker returned to the Sunny Shore Tribe and was elevated to be its queen's primary advisor, much to the chagrin of the tribe's traditionalist shamans, led by Deeproot.   In early 1496, the Sunny Shore Tribe were forced to flee their ancesteral home, the Javan River Spire after an attack by an army of sahuagin. The fleeting tribe settled to a temporary home at the mouth of the Dunwater River and began planning their home's reconqeust.

At the advice of Worldseeker, Queen Proudscar sent invitations to all the nearby aquatic species that had been attacked by the sahuagin to come to the Dunwater Den and discuss the formation of an anti-sahaugin alliance. The tribe was also contacted by Sanbalet, a smuggler who claimed to have heard of the tribe's woes and was offering them weapons, but in actuality worked for the same master as the sahuagin and was seeking to create only more chaos.   Throughout the month of Kythorn in 1496, the lizardfolk discussed with representatives of locathah, merfolk, and koalinth tribes.   In early Eleasis of that year, the Heroes of Saltmarsh arrived at the Dunwater Den, having discovered the lizardfolk's connection to Sanbalet and wrongly assuming the lizardfolk were planning to attack Saltmarsh. Following the death of one member of the tribe, the adventurers realized their mistake and, through the killing of the vicious ogre Shre-rek and a local bullywug chieftain, as well as personally swaying various members of the tribe, the heroes convinced the tribe to allow Saltmarsh to join the Dunwater Alliance.   For the next several months, the Sunny Shore Tribe planned the battle to take back their home alongside their new allies, now lacking the koalinths, who departed once Saltmarsh was brought into the fold. During this time, Worldseeker stayed at the Empty Net at the recommendation of the Heroes of Saltmarsh.

On the Autumn Equinox of 1496, the Dunwater Alliance fought the sahuagin in the Battle of the Spire, which resulted in an overwhelming victory for the alliance thanks to the efforts of the Heroes of Saltmarsh. The Sunny Shore Tribe soon began leaving their exiled den and moving back into the Javan River Spire, a process that went smoothly, save for the B-Team assisting the den's small garrison in stopping a burgeoning cult of Myrkul.

While the lizardfolk believed their war was over, the aboleth S'gothgah continued its plan to sow chaos by attempting to manipulate and control various faction heads in the tribe.

In late 1496, the Heroes of Saltmarsh, excluding Necian Arrzen and Oceanus and including Immortal Valentine, met Worldseeker while secretly heading to retrieve God Trap from the black dragon Voaraghammanthar. Worldseeker mentioned to the Heroes that members of the tribe's leadership were acting erratically, though the Heroes found no Banesmark on Worldseeker. The group begged Worldseeker not to report thier excursion into the Mere of Dead Men to anyone, including Queen Proudscar for fear of S'gothgah hearing of it, and though very reluctant, Worldseeker agreed.

The full extent of the internal division felt by the Sunny Shore Tribe was kept carefully guarded from outsiders and was ultimately resolved following the end of the Banesmark Crisis after the Attack on the Neveren Trade Fleet.
