After losing an arm in the Kree-Skrull War, he refused to fight in the war against the Nova Empire, and requested that he be allowed to retire. Instead, he was branded a traitor, and exiled from the Empire.
When news of the destruction of the Refuge reached the Utopia, Galen-Kor blamed the Sons of Koth. He joined Carol Danvers in an attack on The Ronan, the SOK flagship.
However, while they were fighting, the shop was attacked by the Phalanx, and Galen-Kor was infected with the Transmode Virus.
It is believed he perished in the destruction of Hala, along with the rest of the Phalanx.
