Kree Civil War
After the destruction of the Supreme Intelligence LIX by Carol Danvers and Genis-Vell, there was no consensus about how the Empire should be ruled, going forward.
The two main factions which emerged wer the Kree Imperium, ruled by Genis-Vell, who restored the exstinct Kree monarchy by appointing himself as Emperor, and relaxed many of the cultural and religious laws put in place by the Supreme Intelligences. However, despite his liberal apprach to social issues, he was an absolute monarch, who allowed no public dissent, and directly caused the Phalanx Crisis in his quest to win the civil war.
He was opposed by the Sons of Koth, lead by the former Accuser Corps. The Sons of Koth are hardline traditionalists, with Blue supremecist sympathies.
After the destruction of Hala during the Phalanx Crisis, a third faction emerged, the Utopians, who wish to instate a new Supreme Intelligence. Noh-Varr succeeded in stalling the Plex Intelligence in the ruins of the Database, but the faction has not gained any significant political power.
Since the fall of Hala, hostilities have largely ceased, although the war is not considered to be over by any of the factions.
