Gulf of Bartholomew
The Gulf of Bartholomew, named after Arine's founder and the First Emperor, is the capital's entryway into the Torrose. Its sheer length between the open seas and the capital, coupled with the Eye of Arine, make it difficult, if nigh impossible, to approach the city by water without being seen somewhere along the coast or the open waters. The gulf can also be easily blockaded because of its small entryway.
