Great Southern Wall

The Great Southern Wall is a massive swath of mountain range that stretches for more than seven hundred miles along the southernmost seaboard of the Raja'ri Territories. The range is made up of several thousand-foot peaks that are nearly impassable, with steep cliffs, jagged rocks, and treacherous passes. The mountains are made of rocky and razor sharp volcanic rock, and the shoals have torn many a ship asunder that sail to close to the sheer cliff face.   At the heart of this mountain range is the precipice peak, the volcanic Heart of Fire. This peak stands thousands of feet higher than its surrounding sister mountains, and its summit is obscured by a plume of smoke and ash that billows from the volcano's crater. The Heart of Fire is a massive volcano that has been active for centuries, and its eruptions are a force to be reckoned with.   The Great Southern Wall is a place of raw power and beauty. The mountains are home to many dangerous creatures, such as giant eagles and griffins, as well as being a source of valuable resources, such as precious metals and gems, that are said to be hidden within the mountian chain's depths. Karackas is said to be able to see the smoke on clear days.
