Welcome to the continent of Brifux. This continent is divided into multiple sections by mountains, races, and political powers. At the southern coastline both Whitehaven and Asvern maintain dominance over the water trade routes with the now even more thriving continent of Grenias and profit from both open trade and freedom of culture and religion. Further along the coast the swamp city of Muckward is beginning to blossom, utilizing the unique properties from the surrounding area to research and manufacture some of the most exquisite medicines and remedies that the land has to offer. Negotiations of course are a constant as most druids and those that flock to the simpler side of life tend to usually not have very many material needs.   Further north the land is split across multiple sections by the vast mountains scattering across the middle of the continent. To the east hides the elven lands of Yantalos that no mortal eye has seen for as long as the history books have been written. Strange creatures both of this material plane and others roam these lands. Due to the complications of the mountain ranges a loose treaty has been placed for over a hundred years to allow safe passage through the outskirts of the elven forest. Breaking of this treaty by any traveler of any race results in a forfeit of life. Throughout the lands there are only a handful of elves and half elves that do not reside in the lands of Yantalos and because of the nature of their existence here, there is strict bias towards them and the few that decided to leave almost always find ways to hide their heritage.   Between the mountains lies the Orcish city of Lar Azrel that was founded around 30 years ago from the great war that occurred during the expansion. From the mountains an army rained down across the lands and settled and was thwarted only with the assistance of monk warriors from Grenias as well as the soldiers from the winter continent of Crosela. Most believe that it was the humans of the mining cities of Rark and Tottenham that dug too deep and rallied the Orcs together to not only sabotage the Iron Peaks Mineshaft, but to begin their invasion as well. Within two years of the war, they had established Lar Azrel and captured Vrido which provides around 70% of all sold foods in all fruits, vegetables, and domesticated livestock. While most towns remain slightly self-sufficient, without Vrido the larger cities would starve out during the winters. Vrido remains the proving grounds for half orc children of the pure bloods in Lar Azrel and they govern sections of the mass farms to ensure their productivity and payment to their higher government.   Along the Nothern reaches of the continent on the other side of the mountains lies the human capital and primary city of Trosall. Under the influence of the Iron Parliament, their range extends from the various towns across the North West from Rark all the way to the borders of the Dwarven city of Heggolar. The only outlier in these lands is Zedsia which is the sky dwarf settlement of the mountain. Under the current rule of the Iron Parliament, the landscape on the Northern side has begun to flourish. Small outcrops of towns are popping up all along the way as the most direct route for Port Lisea is Blaindeen or Trosall who can charge hefty prices for all the magical components coming into the land. Because of this prosperity, the Parliament has been able to sinch down their rule upon these lands, pressing laws down against certain cultures, religions, and has the final say on all local leadership as well as rumored to be starting an arms race utilizing skilled artificers and smiths for an invasion against Grenias. While most in the northern area blindly agree with Trosall's standing, the further south you go the less the commonfolk are inclined agree with the methods of war since they remember what it was like for them nearly 30 years ago.   Our tale begins though at a much smaller scale away from the shadows of government, secret organizations, and politics we find ourselves around a newly founded, small settlement trying to become famous for their wine and beer production. Being so close to the lands of Yantalos, the town of Rustrun has been able to achieve an incredible harvest of grapes, wheats, and barleys that seem to give off a slight hint of the taste of elven beverages. It is in this small town where the threads of fate begin to intermingle with a possibly destiny..."
