Lady Astrid Hammerlock Stonewell
The eldest child in the Hammerlock clan. Astrid is a warm and gentle soul, who has no stomach for leadership. She made an arrangement with Thaddeus that he would take up the mantle when their father Lucavis passed, though in the end neither of them ended up with control of the family lands. Astrid married Aiden Stonewell and took up a life of charity, both of which she enjoys very much.

Personal history
Astrid is the firstborn child of Muriel and Lucavis Hammerlock. She discovered at a young age that she did not have the disposition or interest required to govern people, so she made a pact with her younger brother Thaddeus in which she promised to confer her birthright to him. However, upon his death, Lucavis's will stipulated that his youngest son, Gavin would take up the mantle instead, so both Astrid and Thaddeus were spared the responsibility.

Astrid works tirelessly for her people, and has won their adoration for it. When the Antiheroes defeated Orochi and the free will of the warforged was restored, she devoted herself to helping those in the Stonewell territory, as well as the refugees who were displaced by Orin's schemes.

Astrid was an only child for the first four years of her life, and was delighted when she learned that she was going to have a younger brother. She has been close with Thaddeus ever since, and he is one of the people she trusts and respects most in the world. The two agreed that Astrid would confer her birthright to Thaddeus when their father Lucavis passed away, but ultimately the title of Duke Hammerlock fell to their youngest brother, Gavin.
