Ilachekan Wetlands

The Ilachekan Marshes was the name often used when referring to the mainland areas of Kasetia south of the Seper Range. The term is used to refer to the mainland swamps and marshes near the Isles of the Shortfolk, though is often used when referring to the entire peninsula.

Geography

The region features a large wetland flowing between the lakes and rivers of the region, though the swamps do reach far further north, all the way to foothills of the Seper Range. Marshes are found closer to the coastline. The entire area has rather dense temperate forests where rain is relatively common, causing both humid days and nights. The more central areas are home to the Dotted Lakes, a collection of small lakes that feed into the rivers of the region. The region borders the Seper Range, where Mount Tyrtross is located.

Fauna & Flora

The swampier areas are well known for the larger manifestations of beasts, such as giant crocodiles, frogs and insects.

History

Control of the area has long been vied for the states in the area, with none having been able to allow a formal union to happen in the past.
