Aydem
One of the Ten Houses of the Kingdom of Accia and a considerably stable duchy. Their family is famous for possessing Sonildaz's Whisper and Kalitho's Eye. Oddly enough, these abilities are incredibly dominant genetically. They almost always inherit these two exactly. Because of this, they have a solid foothold in the Command Division and tend to produce many children for this purpose. They control and originate from the Sonorous Plateau on the western edge of the Fulgurant Mesa, the westernmost region of the original territories of the kingdom.
The Aydem House has always had a steady and stable position within the kingdom thanks to their steadfast breeding and utilitarian abilities. They have solid and longstanding alliances with the other houses as well, particularly with the Cato and Aquila Houses, their neighbors. Most competitiveness remains within the House itself, especially between the ordinarily plentiful siblings when it comes to choosing the next duke or duchess. The current Duchess serves within Martin Stahlmann's unit while her younger brother is serving as the General of the Command Division. Her twins, Lucy Aydem and Faustin Aydem, are the current House Heirs due to their proximity in age to the prince but everyone recognizes Faustin is the more suitable choice to inherit the title.
While originally from the Sonorous Plateau, the Aydem House has been considerably influenced and even assimilated by the blood and culture of the Eluzian Valley. They are still quite proud of their roots from the plateau, home to the largest organization of mages in Accia. As this region borders Alkelbulan, they have a long and complex history with these outside cultures as well as sharing quite a number of influences from both Accia and these other lands. They have also been a center of trade between the desert cultures and those living in the plains to the south.
