Highwall
"Come into my parlor, said the hammer to the nail."
~Pucket, La'shei survivor.
Demographics
Nearly all human, with the sole exception of a single La'shei who lived at the castle before the humans arrived.
Government
The Margrave runs the show, relying on a seneschal for the day-to-day running of the castle and a delegate that sees to his normal duties when he is off on campaign.
Defences
In addition to the towers, battlements, and walls that stand monumentally high above the surrounding city, an aerie also stands in the center that houses the griffons of the Knights of the Barghest.
Infrastructure
The cellars house a Gelrime that supplies the castle with water. It's trapped in a cistern and used to pump water to a well on the roof, where it supplies numerous living pipes grown with Lussvardarianna. These pipes bring water to the kitchens, privies, and baths, as well as bearing fruit regularly that simply sprouts from apertures in the walls.
Districts
The castle proper is separated by the walls from a complex to the north that houses the staff and functionaries that work in the castle.
Assets
A large granary and infinite supply of water makes a siege unlikely to see success.
Architecture
Massive stone walls made from Wardstone without apparent fault, flaw, or seam make up the facade of the edifice. Octagonal towers made from the same material line the ramparts, and the whole structure is shot through by design with living, breathing plants. In the summertime, Noblewhite Blossoms explode into prominence, coating most of it before bearing their nuts.
Natural Resources
The plants that permeate the castle bear nuts and fruits by the bushel. The Gelrime in the cellars produces more water than the castle could ever need, and the excess is sent off into the Grasping River
