Hanako 10: "Ai"

General Summary

Returning to the Shou Empire, Hanako reunites with Kazuyuki and Akari and finds that Kazuyuki is being offered Ai Nishikawa as a concubine in order to strengthen the alliance between the Nishikawa and Anzai dynasties in the wake of a defeat at Touchu.
After sparring with the new Sword Saint Kaoru, Hanako meets with Subaru Akimoto who asks veiled questions about Hanako's enemies, to the amusement of Shinobu. Meeting with Ai, Hanako discusses with her the troubles of her lack of agency in the concubinage proposition.
