Jamie Corbray

King of the Mountain and Vale, Lord of the Eyrie and Heart's Home, Commander of the Blood Gate Jamie Corbray (a.k.a. The Courageous)

Bio

King Jamie Corbray was a knight and the head of House Corbray, who ruled over the Vale of Arryn. Jamie was a thin man. He was handsome, but vain, reckless and hot-tempered. He had shoulder-length brown hair. He spent summers in the Eyrie, the family stronghold.   The history of the Vale is complicated. Before Aegor the Great's Reconquest, the Vale was being ruled by House Royce, or that is what books say, because, actually the Vale was full of rivalries. House Corbray itself was King of the Fingers before Charles Royce killed Qyle Corbray, son of Merchor Corbray and Nisaara of Lys, and took Lady Forlon from him. His son, Nyunyu Corbray, became the heir of the House, and while he was preparing himself to march at war against the Bronze King, Aegor Targaryen led his invasion at the Vale and ended with the line of the Royce at the battle of Gulltown. At that time Nyunyu Corbray named himself King of the Vale, but a betrayal from House Pryor cut it rather short.   Aegor, to create stability in the Kingdom of the Vale, decided to name Corbray Lord Paramount of the Vale, and returned Lady Forlon to her ancestral House. However, the true power of the Vale was held by House Pryor.   During the Great War of the North, the Vale fought bravely on the side of House Pryor and House Targaryen. Unfortunately, Lord Nyunyu was wounded. So his son took Lady Forlon and led the front against Umber's Lines. Jamie Corbray finished the wounded Ser Mors Umber, and gained an alias of the Courageous due his actions in war.   Honoring Jamie's achievements on the battlefield, his father bequeathed him Lady Forlorn upon his death. After the death of his father, Jamie became the Lord Paramount of the Vale. He formed the Alliance of the 4 Kings and took part of the Rebellion of the Four Kings, expunging the Targaryens from the Vale. At the same time Lord Pryor, and all the members of his house, were condemned to exile.
