Kinduar

The dwarven citadel of Kinduar, hidden deep within the Beinn Monaghan Mountains in the Kingdom of Monaghan, is a fortress of unrivaled craftsmanship and ancient tradition. Built into the very heart of the mountain range, Kinduar stands as a testament to dwarven resilience, ingenuity, and mastery over stone and metal. Its massive stone gates, intricately carved with runes of protection and ancient lore, mark the entrance to a sprawling underground city that has stood for centuries.   Inside the citadel, vast halls stretch deep into the mountain, supported by towering stone pillars carved from the mountain’s own rock. These halls are lined with murals and reliefs depicting the history of the dwarven people, their legends, and their battles. The central heart of Kinduar is its grand forge, a colossal chamber where molten metal is shaped into the finest weapons, armor, and tools in the Moontide Isles. The forges are fueled by magma flows deep beneath the mountain, providing an endless source of heat for the artisans and smiths who work there.   The dwarves of Kinduar are renowned for their craftsmanship, particularly in metallurgy and stonework. The goods produced here, especially their finely wrought weapons and intricate jewelry, are sought after throughout the Moontide Isles. Traders from Caer Hughloch come to Kinduar to trade for these precious items, which are often embellished with gems mined from the surrounding mountains.   The citadel is also a place of great spiritual significance for the dwarves. Ctenmillar, The Forge, is especially revered here, with a grand temple dedicated to him located near the center of the city. This temple is where the master craftsmen of Kinduar gather to seek inspiration and guidance for their work, offering prayers and sacrifices to ensure the continued success of their endeavors. Sucellus, The Bountiful, is also honored with regular feasts and festivals, where the dwarves celebrate their achievements with ale brewed from the finest grains and waters found in the mountains.   While Kinduar is a city of great prosperity, it is also heavily fortified. The citadel's defenses are among the most formidable in the Moontide Isles, with layers of stone walls, hidden traps, and battlements designed to protect the city from any external threats. Kinduar’s strategic location within the mountains provides natural protection, and its dwarven warriors, armed with the finest weapons, stand ready to defend their home from intruders.   Despite its remote and fortified nature, Kinduar is not isolated. Its deep connections to the surrounding Kingdom of Monaghan, particularly through trade with the port city of Caer Hughloch, ensure that the dwarves remain a vital part of the kingdom’s economy and cultural landscape. Kinduar remains a beacon of dwarven pride, industry, and tradition, standing strong amidst the rugged beauty of the Beinn Monaghan Mountains.
