Green Fox Chapter 21

The world around Cosi shimmered as if bathed in sunlight. Even without his eyes, he could see the way, clearer than he ever had before. The trees whispered secrets of ancient times, and the rocks beneath his feet sang songs of eons past. It was as if the universe had opened its doors to him, revealing its hidden wonders.

“Where are you leading me?” Cosi’s voice echoed through the vibrant landscape as he dashed across a bridge that seemed to sway with the rhythm of the world. The wind carried murmurs of ancient tales, and the water below glistened with memories of ages gone by. “Why have you done this to me?”   A voice, ethereal and distant, beckoned him towards the valley’s northern ruins. It whispered promises of power beyond comprehension, and despite his reservations, Cosi felt an irresistible pull.   “I’m coming,” he whispered, snapping branches as he crashed through the woods. The grass beneath his feet sizzled and turned to ash with each step, and trees recoiled from his touch, their bark charring instantly.   But he was not alone. A vengeful presence limped between the trees, closing in until they were behind him. Karla, her face a grotesque mask of pain and fury, raised her blackened sword. Her voice, raspy and filled with malice, reached out to him. “You took everything from me,” she hissed. “You killed my sisters.”
