Ivy Gate
A group of refugees arrive from the Catranian front, the main road leading to the Ivy Gate inspiring hope within them. Past the tall structures, immaculate streets and perfectly maintained greenery, fall away to reveal a district struggling to maintain itself under the weight of its population.
Built around Ringsend Road, the Ivy Gate earned its name from the massive gate built amongst the walls surrounding the inner district. While once a small shanty town built at the cities border, the Ivy Gate quickly grew as more and more refugees from the Catranian conflict traveled down Ringsend Road. Many of these refugees would settle down in the area, beginning to drain the then small districts meager resources. The drain would grow, but as long as the district could show the resources were put to good use the CC would keep supplying the area. But as the numbers slowly outpaced the income Ringsend Road was created. New buildings and shops were built around it, parks quickly grown and mandates were put into place to keep it clean. For many who first arrive in the city this will be the first site they see. For others it is a stark reminder of the resources that are going to waste instead of helping the district itself.
