The Fogplains

Once long rolling hills with many farmlands and settlements spread for miles, this was one of the locations of the large battles within the Great Magical Wars. Through a terrible display of power, the entire water table beneath the area was boiled. All of the land soaked and muddied with an eternal fog now blanketing the area from the magical essence that still lingers in the rain water.

Geography

Northeast of Laivendale and nestled between many of the settlements, the long fogplains used to be a center of agricultural growth in the region. Rolling hills and soft valleys still dot the landscape, but the grasses are heavily overgrown, muddy, and resemble more of a long marshland than anything, despite the lack of water on the ground.

Fauna & Flora

Much of the flora within the area is grasses. Not much sunlight comes through the thick fog, making any sort of large trees or flowers unable to flourish and survive, though a few remnant still linger. The fauna however is something of nightmares. The roving packs of raptors that use the fogplains as their hunting grounds with excellent cover are the least of the worries. A lumbering beast of some form lingers within. None are sure just exactly what it is that shakes the earth with each step.

Natural Resources

What used to be long grain fields has now dried up and withered to overly damp grasslands. Some natural resources exist, but none know of them with how abandoned the area is.
