The forest is bordered on the east by the Burning Steppes, on the south by Westfall, and on the west by the river separating it from Duskwood. To the north lies Redridge Mountains, while the city of Stormwind is located on the southeastern edge of the forest.
Elwynn Forest is home to several small villages, including Goldshire and Westbrook Garrison, as well as the larger town of Eastvale Logging Camp. The forest is also home to several key landmarks, such as the Tower of Azora, the Stonefield Farm, and the Maclure Vineyards.
Throughout the forest, players can encounter a variety of creatures, ranging from peaceful deer and rabbits to more dangerous foes such as gnolls, murlocs, and even the occasional dragon.
