Banking and Bad News

First, the banking. We opened an account with the New Popular Bank of Vulcrom and deposited 4600 gp. The money we got from the race. Sparkos signed for it. Maybe not the best idea but I can draw an X and a gun if I need to. They charge 5 gp/month and we kept 200 gp each for Sparkos' new gun and bullets and to have some money on hand in case of emergencies.

Now for the bad news. Someone, we don't yet know who, published an article in a newspaper saying we were traitors to Vulcrom and we were trying to ruin the city. Including detailed descriptions of us and our past. All of it oviously lies! They called Eddie a crime lord?! They think we are responsible for the disappearace of the airship. Have they seen us? The Tortoise?
This is really fucking bad. I've been here for one day and my chances of rebuilding the business are almost zero. Your reputation is as important than the money you can invest. People need to know they can trust you and your products. If they like you, they are more willing to buy from you and spend more money. If they like you, they help you. My customers should be my most important resource.
I know that my reputation was not good when I came here. "Woman invested everything in a ship that sinks halfway across the ocean". That is unlucky, maybe a bad decision. But now people see me as their enemy. I hope we can fix this somehow. I don't know what else to do. Even with that much money in the bank, I feel like I have less than just a few days ago.
