After two calm weeks at sea, we faced a storm. It was decided to try and sail through he storm so as to not loose our lead in the race. Although dangerous, most of the crew thought it was the best way forward. The airship entered the storm as well and the ships behind us followed. We worked well together and fought the weather. Even Bo braved his fear of water.
In the middle of all of it, water spirits and birds made of lightning appeared. Thankfully, these monsters disregarded us and attacked the larger vessels and the airship. We only had to deal with some fish people who entered the Tortoise. I wonder if any of these monsters also attacked the crew of the Ranger. If this was the last thing they faced and weren't as lucky as we were today.
People we stranded on islands and we ignored them as they fought against the fish people and who knows what else. Our survival has priority. But then Sparkos got it into his head to save someone because they had a gun. I don't know why I agreed. I want to believe that it was because they are additional help that can help us get to Vulcrom faster. Maybe they can be valuable allies. I know that there were far more reasons to just leave them. To be honest, I think I felt bad for leaving Sparkos when we fought in the sewers and this is how I want to make up for that.
It was a hard battle and I'll have to explain my decision to Bo who is furious. I hope this doesn't endanger the crew's morality and the bit of friendship that has formed during the last few weeks.
In other news, the airship is no more. I couldn't really see what happened. Some sort of magic and it was gone. I can't say that I'm sad about it.
