Purchase of the Mayfly

Eddie and I were finally able to buy the ship he was looking at, the Mayfly. She is small but sturdy and hopefully a good investment. He used the last of the money we got when I sold Bolero and took out a credit of 2500 gp as well. This is a huge step for us as we can finally start shipping goods and see some money coming back in. With the merchant relations Eddie has established, the Mayfly should set sail within the next two weeks. I'm excited to get something more to do over here and ready to get to work.
The only thing I'm worried about is that, once the mayfly is on her way here, Eddie won't have anything to do and start gambling again. He gets bored easily and I know what happens when he gets bored. He says he's only using his money and I trust him. But what happens if he looses his money? If he hasn't enough money to support himself? There is no way for me to guarantee that he won't use company funds.
