Captain's Log: Arrival, Day 43
Final entry:
After 43 days at sea, finally we arrived in Vulcrom. No one expected us to win, us included. They were waiting for the Fizzlecorp airship to arrive. According to the SHIT representative, the ship was meant to bring hundreds of robots to the city and new technologies and investment. I can only imagine the drastic change such new technologies could bring to the city and how much money must have been tied up in that deal. The airship will not arrive of course. I know what it feels like to suffer such a loss and will see what I can do to help. Maybe this is also an opportunity for me.
We received the Tortoise and ten pounds of platinum as a reward for winning the race. We'll have to think about what to do with it and how to divide it among the crew. I didn't expect us to win and this much money ... it buys lots of things.
Sparkos, Bo and me went to Michael, the man who was supposed to repair Sparkos. Now, we'll find the tools he needs for the job in the sewers of all places. Grim went to the library. I didn't even know he could read. That bird is full of surprises.
The city is more beautiful than I could have imagined. The way the light of the sunset makes the houses glow. The magic all around us. The smell of the sea and the different people everywhere. It's chaos but there is a flow to it. It just takes you in. I know why Eddie wanted to stay here. Once everything else is taken care of, I'll find Callie.
