Jasper's Journal: Encounter with Rahadin

6th of Uktar, 1491 DR

We sit and wait. I determine my dagger is a Dagger of Running. I notice there are birds spying on us. We begin to hear the sounds of Dusk Elf singing.

Rahadin appears with vampire spawn and demands we stop the ritual. We refuse so he attacks. He severely injures me, but I point out I saved Strahd after he calls me a lesser to him. We kill multiple spawn, but Rahadin knocks me unconcious. Morrick heals me, Rahadin throws and invitation from Strahd to Castle Ravelnoft on my prone body, and teleports away. The vampires grapple me and knock me unconcious again. I wake up laying on, and being laid on by dead female vampires. Not quite like my dreams...

I get up, dust off my clothes, and see that Sergei is about to be bitten. I kill the vampire with radiant sunbolts that blast straight through its head.

Vadania's ritual finally ends... she tells us of her vision, and of the sun blade in the Amber Temple and me trying to fetch it. We chat and make plans to return the gem, go to Argenvystholt, and then the Amber Temple.
