Jasper's Journal: Face to Face with a Dragon

by Jasper Solavich

There I was, surrounded by giant spiders, ready to fight to death. Then, my companions burst into the room to aid me, however the disturbed the brood, and more spiders began to crawl down from the ceiling. We began to fight them off, as Ander and Vadania rushed off to chase after the fire lizard. Morric and I started a friendly competition, counting off our kills as we swiftly slayed the spiders.

After killing all the beasts, I rushed out of the room to find Ander and Vadania, and upon reaching the top of the stairs, I found her unconscious and Ander missing. I shouted back to Morric to heal her, and I chased after Ander. I found him at the top of the stairwell, blocked off by a Revenant. I swiftly jumped from the stairs, off the wall, and began beating into the undead, giving Ander a chance to escape. After almost killing the monster, Morric showed up and finished it off... He even tried to count it as his kill... The nerve!

As we finished off the revenant, I pushed my vial of holy water into Ander's hands, telling him to use it if he is 1-1 with an undead again. Then, I quietly walked out into the hallway, where I could see the small fire lizard rushing about the place. Finally, it was within my grasp, and I could understand its purpose, perhaps it can help me get my dear Piccolo back.

The lizard was running in a circle far off in the hallway, creating a vortex of fire spiraling through the hallway. As I approach and tried to calm it, it blasted in a rage of fire, and manifested into the astral spirit of Argenvost. He explained that he was a spirit . He explained that until we restore the Order of the Silver Dragon, I could not bring back my dear Piccolo. Argenvost's knights are possessed and can no longer help us, until they are brought back to their true form.

We spoke with the dragon for a few moments, and he seemed shocked that only three of us were able to save him. After telling Argenvost it was me who brought him back, he breathed out onto me, and a tattoo of a dragon began to form on my neck and twist down my chest. He then thanked me for his help, and in a rare act of modesty, I gave credit where it was due and told him that I could not have helped him without the aid of my companions. He commanded us to restore his order, and to do so, we must restore his beacon, the shadows in the tower were tainting it.

He then polymorphed into an elegant human man, the same as the one in the tapestries at the entrance, and he walked off towards his throne room, awaiting our return.
