Engines, enigmas and entropy

by Marai Lamnor

Avelyn mentioned having a god given vision, an apogee solstice, where all the planes align, a 1 in 200 occurrence. She managed to calculate using Gideon’s clocks the apogee solstice, which is the winters solstice. 4 months approx away.

The visions had The Unknown God was forcing open spaces as the plans intersected. Potentially Historical events.

The day split into three - Avelyn wanted to investigate Doris’s hold on the city and thus her looms, Alister needed to read her mother’s journal, and I went with Avelyn. We ended up splitting after our first stop of the day to further, with Avelyn looking into the laws Doris has passed, while I looked into her house and grounds.

By Right of Conquest! We now own her house (walls are so thick with secret passages that the rooms are tiny), her belongings (including her terrible art collection minus the Grey Master and Shelyn mosaic walls) and her hired staff’s contracts.

Butler: Rumbles, earth influenced aesthetic which is on point.

Head Maid of Doris: Dorian

Plan is to sell the house, art and belongings, and use it to fund the expansion of the Moose, and set up a half-way house to upskill and train the disadvantaged and homeless.

Gideon was also let in on the existence of the RuneLord, as he noticed the teleportation energy used in the showy tree gate.

Ball 2: Bernise’s highly ambitious and slightly idiotic plan (although not quite all her fault)

Notes on Bernise: the scientist who’s realised the equation is correct but has too much faith in people and places.

Notes on Bernise’s plan: it’s terrible and is going to put a massive target on Hei. And given our resident RuneLord’s interest in her engine, given it is the original Thessalonian engine potentially, building an entire civilisation based around of it, is not going to go well.

Especially considering they’re making atium from this. It’s their main quick money kinda method.
