Onis
Basic Information
Anatomy
Oni are very large humanoids with horned heads, sometimes a third eye in their foreheads, or even tusks protruding from their mouths. Their skin is quite tough, serving as a natural armor roughly on par with a gambeson. Oni have a strong natural connection to Magic, allowing them to instinctively cast a wide variety of spells. Oni are also quite resistant to disease. They are naturally very muscular.
Biological Traits
Male Oni have mostly three horns in the middle of their heads. Female Oni, have two horns, one on either side. Male Onis are generally larger than females and are able to grow facial hair. Female Onis are able to produce milk from their breasts and are the ones that give birth.
Genetics and Reproduction
Oni reproduce sexually and are viviparous. Their gestation period is twelve months.

Oni do not grow - they appear fully formed and ready to indulge in all of life's hedonistic pleasures.
Ecology and Habitats
Oni are a hardy and durable people, they can survive in almost any ecology, but have a server weakness and aversion to extreme cold or arctic temperatures. It is not fatal, but it can cause sickness and fatigue among most Oni. They share no such weakness to fire, infact Oni have complete immunity to all kinds of heat and fire, save for Holy Fire, which is infused with The Light.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Oni are omnivores and can and will eat anything, their digestive systems are like steel, allowing them to even consume toxins and poisons without a problem. Additionally, as a species that has been so close to the Darkness since their own creation, Oni can sustain themselves off of said Darkness energy alone, with no real need for food. However, while some perform this, most only do it as a last resort. The Darkness will keep you fed, but it lacks flavor and the joy of eating.
Biological Cycle
Every seven Cycles, once an Oni has reached maturity, they usually saw off or sever their external bone-horns, this is because they can continue to grow without proper care. The exact time is different for each Oni but serve Cycles is usually about how long one would leave their bone-horns on. Ofocurse some do not saw down their horns and among some, longer horns are a sign of class and wealth as the main reason for sawing off horns is to improve battle efficiency.

Social Structure
Oni society is impacted by which Court an Oni is in. There exist Five Courts of Koronga, each one ruled by a Lord of Koronga, otherwise known as the five most powerful beings other than The Highest One whos name shall not be named. Once an Oni is killed, if it is not with a Black Arcane Blade, they return to Koronga, is reconstructed, but must gain the permission of a Lord to leave, as the seven courts are the only ways in and out of Koronga. But even Oni who do not leave Koronga still joins a Lord's Court for its social perks and advantages. Those members of a Court are seen as special Oni and should never be crossed, no matter what.
Facial characteristics
Oni faces are terrifying, demonic things - they often possess sharp fangs, extra eyes, strangely colored skin, and sharp and jagged features that lend them an imposing demonic visage few can tolerate or stand for long periods of time.
Geographic Origin and Distribution
The majority of the Oni race reside in and originate from Koronga, the Realm where the Darkness has the most influence in all of Creation, often referred to as the Helllands. Because of the Five Seals of the Highest One, only certain kinds of Oni are allowed to physically leave Koronga, those being of lower power.
Average Intelligence
Oni tend to be quite intelligent on average - they are well-equipped to blend into the societies of the humanoids they mimic the forms of, and often weasel their way into positions of power within such societies to better indulge in their hedonistic appetites with abandon.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Oni have exceptional eyesight, and are otherwise average.
Alcohol Empowerment: In addition to the standard heightened condition that being a Oni gives them, when an oni consumes alcohol, their powers and abilities are enhanced even further. The more they drink, the stronger they become, and because of their high alcohol tolerance, it is incredibly hard for them to become fully inebriated, allowing them to make full use of these boosted abilities.

Although their appearance can vary greatly, Oni are generally humanoid beings who can appear as both male and female and appear both lithe and stocky, although they are more commonly seen with healthy bodies ready to move to surrender to slaughter and death. Their bodies process food and calories incredibly quickly, meaning that while they can become very large and obese, this is extremely rare.

Oni bodies can vary wildly in color, but are rarely "normal" colors - blood red, bright green, dark blue, and similar colors are common, with dark charcoal black also quite common.
