Wakecrest
The heart of Tenth civilization on the Shell, populated by the castes between the nobility and the working class, Wakecrest is a beautiful, orderly society that doesn't smell as bad as people say for days at a time.
Just as in the Tenth capital of Dartwright, a central organizing body affords performance space to the community's artists on a rotating basis, such that no two walks down Wakecrest's streets are ever the same; and the sounds of one performance are carefully calibrated not to infiltrate the next.
In one of the more touching and lovely shows of multiculturalism on the Shell, it has become somewhat of a fad for Halflings to make their way down to Wakecrest on the pre-dawn train to participate in the Sun Salutation, though they only seem to do so on the weekends. Their presence is warmly welcomed by the Tenth people, who perhaps evangelize a bit too furtively for the Hobbits who are really there for the calisthenics, introductions and coffee cakes.
It has become a point of some diplomatic concern among the Corran political class just how well the Tenths and the Hobbits of Gwynab seem to be getting on, particularly in the Wandering City where they are also neighbours. If the neutrality of Gwynab in Tenth-Corran relations were ever to be lifted, Tenth troops could pass through Gwynabian lands to the very border of the Maulden capital region, posing a serious strategic risk to the Empire.
