Ajda Wet Forest
I've never seen anything so beautiful... So dense with vegetation. It was like a miracle. But the bugs! With all the water, and the humidity? They're everywhere down here... Always biting- or finding their way into your boots when you take them off. And some are big- too big to be right, I say!
Located in the Ajda-Donesh Basin, the "Ajda" portion of the basin's name refers to the wet-tropical forest that spans the western portion of Tolara's southern peninsula in Tolara- stretching into the central areas just before Nisaba Pass, to the western range of the Hiatal Mountains on its other side. Here, large trees and flat leaf vegetation is common. This density of plant life acts as a trapping mechanism to retain what water does get into the basin over the mountains- while the high temperatures, sloping altitude, and accumulated groundwater results in both heavy fogs and a near constant, misty rainfall in the area. The result is a consistently hot, humid environment rich with highly isolated diversity, awash in vibrant colors.
