Visitor
You're just here for a brief trip - a holiday, perhaps, or a retreat. Maybe you've heard about the island and come to see it for yourself, or you are researching their traditional cloth-making processes.
This island community is well-known on the mainland for their traditional cloth. It is a woollen broadcloth, akin to tweed, and it has been crafted in the same exact way for centuries.
When you arrive, do head for the Inn. They can tell you all about the island, and good places to go, things to do and see.
In fact, there's an important ceremony coming up: the preparation of a ceremonial broadcloth for a coming-of-age celebration.
Although strangers are unlikely to be invited, you might be able to observe at a discrete distance. You can certainly chat to a few of the islanders beforehand and after.
If you're not planning on coming along to the actual thing, you can at least read about the broadcloth traditions in a little booklet you'll find in your room at the Inn.
