The Undercity

The unstable reality has proven to effect the underground of the island as well as its surface. While most basements and important underground structure to the city had been secured with reality stabling technology and runes, underneath this and intersecting with the sewers and maintenance tunnels is an ever changing maze known as the undercity. Tunnels taken across time and space, be they made by sentient life or by nature, cross with the city's more orderly sewer and subway tunnels and go much deeper underground.
The city and its inhabitants have only scratched the surface of the undercity, its tendency to change has made it difficult and even impossible to map out. Ancient dungeon hallways, stone aqueducts, twisting natural caverns, and futuristic high-tech passageways all intersect in often nonsensical ways and yet fit more perfectly together than should be possible in a place of such chaotic reality. It has only be guessed on as to how expansive these passageways go, and what could possibly be found down there.
An untold number of mysterious creatures reside within the depths, residing in the original subterranean lairs they were rifted in with, or becoming wandering threats.
The danger of such broken reality, and potential threats lurking in the darkness, has also made the undercity a perfect hideout to more daring, desperate, or well equipped groups.
